Eckerö Group has recently expanded its fleet with a new vessel, M/S Fjärdvägen (formerly Sailor). The vessel is scheduled to enter service in January 2026.

As our operations grow, we are looking for experienced and skilled engineers to join our Ro-Pax service between Långnäs and Naantali.

We are currently looking for both a Chief Engineer and a First Engineer. We offer permanent employment with access immediately or as agreed.

We are seeking motivated and reliable professionals with strong technical expertise and solid leadership abilities.

Who are you?

To succeed in these roles, you should have:

• Relevant experience as marine engineering officer, with solid knowledge of vessel technical systems and applicable maritime regulations.

• A proactive and positive attitude, combined with a strong focus on safety, maintenance, and environmental responsibility.

• A valid Certificate of Competency:

  • For Chief Engineer: Chief Engineer Certificate STCW III/2

  • For First Engineer: Second Engineer Certificate STCW III/2

• A clear and engaging leadership style, with the ability to lead, support, and collaborate effectively with your colleagues on board.

Fjärdvägen sails under the Finnish flag and operates daily between Långnäs (Åland) and Naantali (Finland). The work rotation follows a 1:1 schedule, with two weeks onboard followed by two weeks off.

The official working and safety language onboard is English, while skills in Finnish and Swedish are considered an advantage.
