Are you a technically skilled professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment? We are looking for a Second Engineer to join our vessel M/S Fjärdvägen (formerly Sailor). We are offering one permanent contract with immediate access or as agreed.

Who are you?

We’re seeking an engineer with:

-Relevant professional experience and qualifications

-Strong leadership qualities

-A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high safety and environmental standards onboard

As a Second Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ship’s machinery and auxiliary systems, ensuring they meet all current safety and environmental requirements. A solid overall knowledge of the vessel’s technical systems is essential.

Minimum requirement for the position is a valid a Watchkeeping Engineer certificate (STCW III/1). Higher-level certificates of competence are considered an advantage.

Additional information

Fjärdvägen sails under the Finnish flag and operates daily between Långnäs (Åland) and Naantali (Finland). The work rotation follows a 1:1 schedule, with two weeks onboard followed by two weeks off.

The official working and safety language onboard is English, while skills in Finnish and Swedish are considered an advantage.
